A Day of Prayer

Since Acts 40 begins on a Sunday, we want to start this journey together with prayer. Before we worry about steps, miles, or routines, we want to pause and invite God into the next 40 days.

Day 1 is about slowing down, setting our hearts in the right direction, and asking God to guide us as we begin. Whether you are walking today or simply taking time to reflect, let this be a moment to reset your focus and intentionally place this journey in God’s hands.

You do not need perfect words or a long prayer. This is simply a chance to be honest, present, and open to what God wants to do over the next 40 days.

A Prayer to Begin Acts 40

God,

Thank You for today and for the opportunity to begin this journey together. Thank You for the gift of movement, for the space to slow down, and for the chance to spend intentional time with You over the next 40 days.

As we begin Acts 40, help us to be present. Quiet the distractions around us and the noise within us. Give us clarity, focus, and a willingness to listen. Shape our hearts through Your Word, guide our steps as we move, and remind us that growth often comes through simple and faithful rhythms.

For those who are excited, steady us.

For those who feel unsure, encourage us.

For those who are tired, strengthen us.

Help us not to rush this season or turn it into something it is not. Teach us to take one step at a time, one day at a time, trusting that You are at work even when progress feels slow.

We place these next 40 days in Your hands and ask You to use them to draw us closer to You and closer to one another.

Amen.

Take a few quiet moments today to pray, reflect, and prepare your heart for the days ahead.
